Nutrition in Other Places

Whats interesting is that in the US we are struggling with overweight children, while in other parts of the world, the struggle is under nourished/under weight children. UNICEF says about one hundred forty-six million children in developing countries, twenty-seven percent, are underweight.  It says the problem is worst in South Asia.  Bangladesh, India and Pakistan have half the world’s underweight children. Some places have developed creative programs to address issues such as Australia.

In Australia:

Child Nutrition Consultation

  1. Wow! I wish we had something like this. To be able to fix quick easy nutritious meals that my two year old will actually eat! That would be a dream come true! All she wants to eat is cheese (sliced cheese, string cheese, cheddar cheese, mac & cheese, cheese-its...) and raisins. Luckily in the past few weeks she is on a kick of eating lots of apples, bananas, and carrots. She eats a variety of foods, but doesn't eat anything in the quantity that she does of cheese. I could really use a child nutrition consultation!!
